Lilly Singh aka Superwoman was born in Scarborough, Ontario and lives with her parents. Like most Punjabi parents , Singh’s parents wanted their daughter to have a secure and successful job as an engineer or a doctor . But Superwoman chose to graduate with a Degree in Psychology . Her YouTube career all started when she was down and depressed . Superwoman realized that it was no point being depressed and decided to get out of depression by posting a video . She fondly remembers her first video of a spoken word piece she uploaded onto YouTube to show friends and family the performance. Little did she know the kind of response that she will be getting . Her video was shared by many . Her viewers demanded more videos and soon Superwoman started churning out positive and motivational video on her channel every Monday and Thursday . Today partly a comedian and a motivational speaker , she seeks to entertain and uplift people . Slowly as Superwoman gathered more subscribers and got invited to many schools and functions in the community to give speeches , her parents understood her success and tried to comprehend her fame . But she claims that her dad still thinks that this is not a full time career and that his daughter will go on to become a lawyer . Superwoman’s videos are currently not only being watched by Punjabis but by the global audience . The content of her videos revolves around her daily life and things that she notices . Some of the videos include her talking about things that annoy her while some portray typical desi problems that every young Punjabi experiences . Over the years Superwoman has collaborated with many artists such as Humble the Poet , AkakaAmazing , Zaid Ali and many others . Superwoman has also recently collaborated with Jassi Sidhu in the track ‘Hipshaker’ . The track has become a commercial hit and has exposed her to the Indian audience on a big scale . Superwoman now has produced over 200 videos on her YouTube channel and has a subscriber list consisting of more than 1.2 million subscribers . Apart from making videos she says she likes Bhangra and Punjabi music , being a Bhangra performer herself and Bollywood movies as well . Also she is a vegetarian and is a social activist as well. Superwoman uses social media as a means to spread her message of ‘One Love’ and also to raise awareness of the ignorance within the South Asian community.

He did many films. Some of them in the hindi film industry and even in hollywood. He also performed with many veteran punjabi comedians such as Chacha Raunki Ram and late Jaspal Bhatti ji . Ghuggi ji rose to fame with his early participation in the Punjabi film industry and with his numerous comedy releases. Ghuggi Junction , Ghuggi Shoo Mantar , Ghuggi Khol Pitari , Ghuggi Labhey Gharwali , Khich Ghuggi Khich and many more were well received and appreciated by the audiences.His early contribution to the Punjabi film industry includes films like , Jee Aayan Nu , Asa Nu Maan Watna Da , Pind Di Kudi , Yaaran Naal Baharan , Dil Apna Punjabi among many others . When asked in an interview ,” what do people working in hindi film industry think about Punjabi film industry,” he replied that before when someone used to introduce him by saying that he is a star from Punjabi film industry , they used to neglect and give little importance, but now in the last three odd years the scenario has changed quite a bit.He goes on to say that the impact is such that Salman Khan introduced him in the grand finale of Big Boss as the superstar of Punjabi cinema, Ghuggi Bhaji.He also emphasised that today, the role and personality of Sikhs in Hindi cinema is not of a comedy stock anymore. Films like Rocket Singh,Love Aaj Kal , Singh is King,Son of Sardaar have all portrayed Sikh character not only with respect and dignity but as the films main leading actors as well . Gurpreet Ghuggi got noticed on indian television through the Great Indian Laughter Challenge .He says his commitment is towards Punjabi cinema and its development.Hindi cinema is not his destination. He does not believe that anyone successful in Punjabi cinema has to step in Hindi cinema. Gurpreet Ghuggi recent super hit films include Carry On Jatta , Ajj De Ranjhe , Lucky Di Unlucky Story and Jatts In Golmaal. Recently, Gurpreet Ghuggi has also taken the role of a producer in a joint venture with Akhsay Kumar’s Grazing Goat Productions by launching a film named of “Bhaji in Problem”. Akshay Kumar would be playing a cameo role alongwith a huge Punjabi cast.Future projects of Gurpreet Ghuggi includes Carry on Jatta 2 , Chakk De Phatte 2 and Jatt James Bond .

Other than doing comedy on television Ranbir has also done serious television with director Gurbir Singh Grewal in 1998 in ‘Parchhawain’ and then ‘Chitta Lahoo’.Rana Ranbir also anchored Zee Punjabi’s hit road shows ‘Excuse me Please’ and ‘Jugnu Mast Mast ‘ .
