Sukshinder Singh Bhullar whom we all know as Sukshinder Shinda was born on may 29 , 1979 in Birmingham , United Kingdom . In the music industry he is known by the name of ‘The Music Man’. Shinda has produced , sung and collaborated in innumerable tracks . Sukshinder Shinda made his debut with the album , ‘Dhol Beat Ek(1)’ in 1989 . He followed that album with ‘Maximum Bass’ in 1996 . In 1998 Shinda released two versions of ‘Dhol Beat 2′ , one under Kiss Records and the under Venus Records . Two years later in 2000 Sukshinder Shinda released , ‘Men of Respect’ which featured songs of legendary artist such as Sardool Sikandar , Gurdas Maan , Kuldeep Manak and so on . The album was a big hit . In 2000 Shinda was also the music director of the film , ‘Shaheed Udham Singh’ which included the starcast of Gurdas Maan , Raj Babbar , Juhi Chawla , Amrish Puri , Shatrughan Sinha , Ranjeet and many more . Also the same year Sukshinder Shinda released the album , ‘The O.G’s’ under moviebox . In 2001 , Shinda produced the album , ‘The Way it is’ , and the following year in 2002 Shinda released his first solo album, ‘Phases’, which featured the singles ‘Daroo’ and ‘Dil’. In 2003 Shinda came up with ,’Living Loud’ and ‘Gal Sunja’ . Two years later Sukshinder Shinda released ‘UK Dhol Crusader’ under Tips and ‘Balle’ under MovieBox. In 2006 ,he released another album titled , ‘Collaborations’ in which tracks such as ‘Collaborations’ , ‘Oh Na Kudi Labdi’ , ‘Charka’ and ‘Boliyan Te Boliyan’ were a major hit . It also included artists such as Jazzy B , Gurdas Maan , A.S Kang , Shin , Meshi among many . Shinda was the music director of hindi film ‘Teesri-Aankh:The Hidden Camera’ which starred Sunny Deol and Ayub Khan . He also was the music director of punjabi movie ‘Dil Apna Punjabi’ . The following year Sukshinder Shinda released the album ,’Living the Dream’ . His more recent projects include ,’Collaborations 2′ (2009) , ‘Jadoo’ (2010), ‘Rock Da Party’ (2012) and ‘Collaborations 3′(2013) . Sukshinder shinda also released two religious albums, ‘Satguru Mera’ (2009) under Moviebox records and ‘Choj Khalseh De’ (2013) under Dharamseva records . Sukshinder Shinda’s recent film projects include ‘Ishq Be Parwah’ (2008) , ‘Munde U.K. De’(2009) , ‘Ik Kudi Punjab Di’ (2010) , ‘Welcome to Punjab’(2011) and ‘Best of Luck’(2013) . ‘Munde UK De’ and ‘Ik Kudi Punjab Di’ starred Amrinder Gill . ‘Best of Luck’ which was one of the biggest grosser of the film industry included Jazzy B , Gippy Grewal , Binnu Dhillon , Simran Kaur Mundi , Sonam Bajwa , Puneet Issar , Karamjit Anmol , Miss Pooja and many more . Shinda has produced or collaborated on more than 200 albums, including all of Jazzy B’s releases and the majority of Amrinder Gill’s .

If there was a list to be made of the leading artists in Punjabi music industry and Punjabi film industry then currently, Diljit Dosanjh would be in the top 2 of both lists if not leading them . Diljit Dosanjh was born on 6 January ,1984 in the village Dosanjh Kallan which is close to Phagwara . His father , S.Balbir Singh Dosanjh used to work in roadways and his mother was a house-wife . He spent his early childhood in a typical Punjabi agricultural family environment . He later shifted to Ludhiana where he currently resides as well . Diljit Dosanjh got his education from Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School at Dugri road . He used to do kirtan in gurudwaras and sing in small get-togethers . Diljit always had the zest for singing and molded his craft under his gurus Prof. Kartar Singh , Hari dutt Sharma and S.Gobinder Singh ji . His music career began in 2003 with the release of his album , ‘Ishq da Uda Adda’ , under T-series and music director Babloo . The album was much liked and well received by the audience . This was followed by his second album , ‘Dil’ , which was released in 2004 also under T-series. The album went on to be a super-hit and cemented Diljit’s position in the industry . Songs such as ‘Dil Saade Naal La Lai’ and ‘Nikli Baraat’ topped charts . In 2005 Diljit Dosanjh came up with his best selling album , ‘Smile’ . The album was a commercial blockbuster and tracks such as , ‘Kuwariyaan’ , ‘Smile’ , ‘Paggan Bochhmian Waale’ played on television and radio channels for numerous months . The following year he released , ‘Ishq ho Gya’ with Sachin Ahuja as the music director . This album also did well commercially . Diljit Dosanjh released the album ‘Chocolate’ in 2008 under Speed Records and ‘The Next Level’ in 2009 under T-series again . In the album ‘The Next Level’ , he collaborated with Honey Singh for some songs . Some of the famous tracks from these albums include ‘Sharaab’ , ‘Munde Pub’ , ‘Chocolate’ , ‘Dil Nachda’ , ‘Panga’ , ‘Desi Daroo’ , ‘Los Angeles’ among many others . Honey Singh and Diljit Dosanjh again collaborated and produced singles ‘Bhagat Singh’ (2009) , ‘Dance With Me’ (2009) , ‘Main Me & Myself ‘(2010) , ‘Lak 28 Kudi Da’ (2011) , ‘Catty Eyes’ (2011) and ‘Goliyan’ (2012) . All of these tracks were massive hits with the audience world wide . These singles helped both artists to establish an even wider fan base . Diljit dosanjh made his debut in punjabi film industry with a cameo role in ‘Mel Karade Rabba’ in 2010 . The film included the likes of , Jimmy Shergill , Neeru Bajwa , Gippy Grewal , Shavinder Mahal and Sartajpal Singh Virk among many others . The film was a huge success . He went on to act in , ‘The Lion of Punjab’ (2011) , ‘Jihne Mera Dil Luteya’ (2011) and ‘Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya’(2012) . But Diljit Dosanjh reached the peak of his fame with the success of the blockbuster cult film , ‘Jatt and Juliet’ (2012) and ‘Jatt and Juliet 2′ (2013) . He played the role of Punjab police constable , Fateh Singh . Although a sequel but the plot of both movies is completely different . Characters such as Fateh Singh , Pooja ( Neeru Bajwa) , Shampy ( Rana Ranbir ) , Shampy’s father ( B.N Sharma ) , Joginder Singh (Jaswinder Bhalla )and Fateh Singh’s mother (Anita Devgan) have been carried forward to the sequel . In jatt and juliet 2 Jazzy B also did a great cameo at the end of the movie . Bharti Singh played as Preet who works in the spa . Both movies have been directed by Anurag Singh , written by Dheeraj Ratan , music by Jatinder Shah and editted by Manish More . Commercially both films have been historic for the Punjabi film industry breaking all records . Diljit Dosanjh’s other recent projects other than these two monumental films have been the religious albums , ‘Sikh’ (2012) and ‘Sikh 2′ (2013) . Another album by the name of ‘Back to basics’ (2012) in which tracks such as ‘Khaarku’ , ‘Truck’ , ‘Strawberry’ , ‘Chunni’ were blockbusters . Diljit Dosanjh’s recent single , ‘Proper Patola’ , reached more than 2 million views on Youtube within a month of its release . His future projects include ‘Mukhtiar chadha’ . ‘Mukhtiar Chadha’ is a story of Simple Man by the name of Mukhtiar who belongs to a Middle class society in Delhi with his Mother. He wants to be a rich man and fulfill dreams . Another upcoming project of his is ’1984 Punjab’ , in which he plays the role of a boy who left home during the tormented year of 1984. Lastly Diljit Dosanjh is doing the first film of Neeru Bajwa’s production titled, ‘Next to Gurdas Maan’ .He reckons that this is the golden period of Punjabi cinema and Punjabi music industry . He says budgets of the films are rising , quality is getting better and the future of the industry looks very bright .

Dominating the Punjabi music industry for just under two decades , Babbu Maan appeals to the youth of Punjab in particular . An actor , producer , singer , music director , lyricist and a writer , Maan was born on march 29 , 1975 in village Khant Maanpur in the Fatehgarh Sahib district of Punjab, India .He is the youngest of his three siblings . Babbu maan made his debut in Punjabi music industry with the release of his album , ‘Sajjan Rumal de Gaya’ in 1998 . The album was a super-hit and Babbu Maan rose to fame . The following year he published the album , ‘Tu Meri Miss India’ , which was again a massive hit . Some of his popular tracks of the album were ‘Neendran’ , ‘Miss India’ , ‘Tupka Tupka’ and ‘Pind Pehra Lagda’ . Babbu maan released the albums ‘Saun di Jhadi’ , ‘Oh Chann Ohi Rattan’ and ‘Pyaas: in search of destiny’ in 2001 , 2004 , and 2005 respectively under the record label of T-series . ‘Pyaas’ was one of his best selling albums which also had the famous song ‘Mittran di Chatri’ . In 2003 he worked alongside the likes of playback singers Sukhwinder Singh and Jaspinder Narula for the film ‘Hawayein’. Babbu Maan made his debut in Hindi films with a supporting role in Hawayein . The film was banned in India but was a huge success in the overseas market . In 2007 Maan released his first hindi album titled ‘Mera Gham’ and two years later in 2009 he released his first religious album titled ‘Singh better than King’ . The religious album ‘Singh better than King’ got him surrounded with controversy . In one of the tracks title ‘Ek Baba Nanak Si’ , Babbu Maan goes on to say that Baba Nanak was one of his kind and nowdays there are babas/saints all over Punjab who on the name of seva and religion earn bags of They have luxurious cars at their convenience and on the other hand mighty Guru Nanak Dev ji walked on foot all over the globe to spread his message . This message in the song got a strong reaction from the babas of Punjab . They strongly protested this song and the artist as well . The song caused debates in Punjab across various levels . Babbu maan’s recent released album goes by the name of ‘Talaash: in search of soul’ . The album is his first Punjabi commercial album after 8 years . The album established itself at the top of the iTunes World Albums charts in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and the USA.Babbu Maan is the first indian artist ever to enter Billboard charts for his album Talaash . He has also lent his voice for Punjabi films such as ‘Waagah’ and ‘Dil Tainu Karda Ae Pyar’ and in Hindi films as well such as ‘Vaada Raha’, ‘Crook’ and ‘Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster’ . In 2010, Babbu Maan recieved PTC music award for the song ‘Challa’ from ‘Crook’ . As Maan was not present for the show , legendary singer Gurdas Maan accepted the award on Babbu Maan’s behalf, and referred to him as “Kalakaran da Mirza” . Babbu Maan owns the music label ‘Swag Music’ and is keen to promote new talent. Maan is the ambassador for the newly set-up NGO in Punjab: One Hope, One Chance. Babbu Maan made his debut in Punjabi film industry with ‘Rabb Ne Banaiyan Jodiean’ in 2006 and worked alongside Gurpreet Guggi , Puneet Issar , Swathi Varma and Rana Ranbir among many others . Babbu maan continued his acting career in Punjabi film with ‘Hashar : A Love Story’ and ‘Ekam – Son of Soil’ . His recent films include ‘Hero Hitler in Love’ , ‘Desi Romeos’ and ‘Dil Tainu Karda Hai Pyar’ . His future project ‘Prince Of Patiala’ is set to be released in 2014 which has not only been produced under Babbu Maan’s production label but also written by him . Babbu Maan is the actor , music director , singer and lyricist of the film as well .
