Ranjit Singh Bawa was born in the Wadala,Granthian Village,Gurdaspur,Punjab to parents Gajjan Singh and Gurmit Kaur. Bawa graduated from Guru Nanak College,Batala and he did his post graduation from Amritsar,Khalsa College. He did his Masters In Music from Guru Nanak University.Amritsar.
BESTÂ KNOWN FOR:
He is best known for his record breaking single Chad Khera Baniye,Ja Ve Mundiya, Hik Vich Zor etc. In 2013,he won the PTC Best Folk Oriented Song Award for his song Jatt Di Akal.In 2015, he won the Best World Album Award in Brit Asia Awards.He made a biographical movie in 2015 about 1980`s Punjabi activist Shaheed Bhai Jugraj Singh Toofan .The name of the film is Toofan Singh.
