Rated as one of the most good-looking men in the world, Dharmendra, ‘sada’ very own Dharam Garam hails from a small town called Sahniwal in Punjab.
Before entering Bollywood, Dharmendra Phaji worked as a factory mechanic in his hometown. Then one fine day he decided to try his luck as an actor. With stars in his eyes & dreams to fulfill, he ventured into the tinsel town to hit big on the silver screen. Lady luck smiled on him & he bagged a role in Railway Platform (1955). From here onwards started his journey to stardom. He acted in Bimla Roy’s highly acclaimed Bandini (1963), Hrishikesh Mukerjee’s tender Anupama (1966), performist Satyakam (1969) & so on. He did not only gave commendable performances as a serious actor but also proved his mettle as a romantic as well as action hero in ‘Yaadon ki barat’ (1973), ‘Sholay’ (1975), ‘Gulami’ (1985), ‘Hathiyar’ (1989) & so on. The most notable performance by Garam Dharma was in the all time hit -Sholay . The Sholay character -Veeru ,struck instantly with the audience and raised him to immediate pinnacle of popularity . afterwords Dharmendra got immense potential to perform .
The comedies like ‘Guddi’ (1971), ‘Chupke Chupke’ (1975) & ‘Naukar Biwi Ka’ showed his histronics as a Comedian.
