He was born in Abhor,Punjab. He completed his education from Punjab University,Patiala. Amberdeep did his Bachelor of Commerce, and Masters in Theatre and Televsion. Amder deep entered the film industry in 2008 as a debut writer for the film Chak De Phatte. His first tv Serial as a writer was for `Chaldi Da Naam Gaddi` and as an actor ` Love Punjab`

He is a well known scriptwriter for shows like Comedy Circus and Comedy Nights With Kapil. He has also scripted Punjabi movies such as Goreeyan Nu Daffa Karo, Angrej,Happy Go Lucky etc.He won the PTC Award for best dialogues for the movie Daddy Cool Munde Foo in 2013.
