THE BEGINNINGS :
Sameep Singh Kang was born in Patiala .His father is Gurcharan Singh Kang. He did his schooling in Yadavindra Public School,Patiala and went on to Punjab University where he did his Bachelor`s degree in Technology in Chemical Engineering.While in college ,he began his foray into the world of films. He relocated to Mumbai in the late 1990`s after he completed his studies and took up a marketing job for financial stability. He eventually transitioned into a full time actor once he was able to earn more from his acting career.His first film was Mahaul Theek Hai with Jaspal Bhatti.He did various movies after that like `Ek jind Ek Jaan~, Chak De Phatte , Carry on Jatta 2 . He also produced the movie Naukar Vahuti Da.

He is best known for his acting and direction. As a director he he started in 2012 with the release of the film `Carry on Jatta,` and was the highest grossing film of that year. He also directed in `Lucky Di Unlucky Story, Lavvan Phere, and the sequel Carry on Jatta 2 and Carry on Jatta 3.

He is married to Parnit Sarkaria and has a son,Kairacbir Kang.
